Cournaya’s Land Enhancement installs and repairs gravel driveways with the right base, slope, and material so they perform long after the equipment leaves. Whether you need a brand-new driveway or your existing drive is worn out, we focus on structure and drainage first so you end up with a clean, functional surface.

When Your Gravel Driveway Needs More Than a Patch

Adding another layer of gravel can hide problems for a while, but it doesn’t fix an unstable base or poor drainage. If your driveway quickly falls back into ruts, turns to mud, or constantly washes out, there’s usually more going on underneath the surface.

  • Deep ruts that return shortly after you fill them
  • Soft, muddy areas where vehicles sink or spin
  • Standing water that lingers after every storm
  • Stone sliding off to the sides or washing into the ditch

At that stage, a proper install or rebuild is a better investment than endless patching. Reworking the base and reshaping the drive gives you a gravel driveway that works the way it’s supposed to.

How We Install and Repair Gravel Driveways

We don’t just spread rock and hope it holds. First, we assess the existing driveway, the soil underneath, and how water moves through the area. For new installs, we build a compacted base and set the correct slope or crown. For repairs, we cut out soft or failed sections, rebuild the base where needed, and reshape the drive before adding fresh gravel.

  • Evaluate existing base, subsoil, and drainage conditions
  • Strip out soft spots and unstable areas
  • Shape and compact a strong base layer
  • Install and spread the right type and depth of gravel
  • Compact the finished surface for a solid, smooth drive

Whether it’s a short residential drive or a longer lane, we build your gravel driveway to handle real-world traffic and weather, not just look good on day one.

Our Guarantee to You

We stand behind the work we do. Our guarantee is simple: we will show up when we say we will, do the work we agreed to, and walk the job with you before we leave. If something reasonable needs to be addressed related to the work we just completed, we will talk it through and make a plan to make it right.

Our Workmanship Warranty

Outdoor work is always at the mercy of weather and existing site conditions, but we do not disappear when the equipment leaves. If you have concerns about the workmanship on a recent project, contact us. We will review the site, explain what we are seeing, and discuss any adjustments that may be appropriate based on the original scope of work.

Ready for a Better Gravel Driveway?

If you’re tired of driving through mud, dodging ruts, or constantly adding gravel that doesn’t seem to last, it may be time to rebuild. Reach out to Cournaya’s Land Enhancement, and we’ll evaluate your driveway, explain your options, and help you choose the right approach for your budget and needs.

How Our Service Process Works

Step 1: Talk Through the Project

Every job starts with a conversation. You tell us what is going wrong, how you use the property, and what you would like to change. We ask questions, look at any photos you have, and when needed schedule a visit so we can see the ground in person.

Step 2: Walk the Site and Plan the Work

On site, we walk the area with you, point out problem spots, and talk through options. We explain what we recommend, why we recommend it, and how it will be done so you understand the plan before any equipment moves.

Step 3: Do the Grading and Site Work

On delivery day, we bring the material with trucks sized for your property and access. We place piles where you can easily reach them with equipment or wheelbarrows, or where we will be grading if we are handling the spreading.

Step 4: Review the Results Together

After delivery, we are available to answer questions about how to spread, compact, or maintain the material. If you decide you would like help with grading or additional work after seeing it on site, we can talk about next steps and schedule follow-up services.

Frequently Asked Questions

A gravel overlay adds fresh stone on top of what’s already there and can help for a while. A full rebuild addresses underlying problems by cutting out soft or failed areas, correcting drainage, rebuilding the base, and then adding and compacting new gravel. Rebuilds take more effort up front but usually last much longer and perform better.

If you keep filling ruts and low spots but they come back quickly, or if the driveway turns muddy and soft after every rain, the base is likely failing. We’ll look at the condition of the base and drainage and let you know whether a rebuild is the smarter long-term choice or if a lighter repair is still reasonable.

Most driveways do best with a blend of larger stone for structure and smaller fines to lock everything together. The exact material depends on your soil, slope, and how the drive is used. We’ll recommend a mix that compacts well, sheds water, and resists shifting so you get the best performance from your driveway.
