When Drainage Becomes a Problem

Water always looks for the lowest point, and sometimes that ends up being your lawn, driveway, or the area right next to a building. Persistent wet spots make it hard to mow, use outdoor spaces, or keep foundations and slabs dry. If you are constantly dodging mud or water after every storm, there’s likely a drainage issue that needs attention.

  • Water pooling near foundations, patios, or walkways
  • Low areas in the yard that stay soggy
  • Muddy sections that never seem to firm up
  • Soft or washed-out soil along driveways or structures

Drain tile and other drainage improvements give excess water a controlled route to follow so it can leave your property instead of sitting where it causes problems.

How Our Drain Tile & Drainage Solutions Work

We begin by walking your property to see how water currently moves and where it’s collecting. From there, Cournaya’s Land Enhancement recommends a practical mix of drain tile, surface drains, or grading changes that fit your site and budget. For drain tile, we set perforated pipe at the proper slope and surround it with the right materials so it stays functional.

  • Evaluate drainage patterns, low spots, and existing grades
  • Recommend drain tile, grading, surface drains, or a combination
  • Install drain tile with correct pitch and backfill
  • Direct water to an appropriate discharge point
  • Blend disturbed areas back into your yard or landscape

Every property is different, so we focus on solutions that meaningfully improve your situation without overcomplicating the design.

Our Guarantee to You

We stand behind the work we do. Our guarantee is simple: we will show up when we say we will, do the work we agreed to, and walk the job with you before we leave. If something reasonable needs to be addressed related to the work we just completed, we will talk it through and make a plan to make it right.

Our Workmanship Warranty

Outdoor work is always at the mercy of weather and existing site conditions, but we do not disappear when the equipment leaves. If you have concerns about the workmanship on a recent project, contact us. We will review the site, explain what we are seeing, and discuss any adjustments that may be appropriate based on the original scope of work.

Tired of Dealing with Standing Water?

If you’re done living with soggy ground, muddy areas, or water pooling where it doesn’t belong, it may be time for a drainage fix. Reach out to Cournaya’s Land Enhancement, and we’ll review your property, suggest a straightforward solution, and provide a clear estimate for getting the work done.

How Our Service Process Works

Step 1: Talk Through the Project

Every job starts with a conversation. You tell us what is going wrong, how you use the property, and what you would like to change. We ask questions, look at any photos you have, and when needed schedule a visit so we can see the ground in person.

Step 2: Walk the Site and Plan the Work

On site, we walk the area with you, point out problem spots, and talk through options. We explain what we recommend, why we recommend it, and how it will be done so you understand the plan before any equipment moves.

Step 3: Do the Grading and Site Work

On delivery day, we bring the material with trucks sized for your property and access. We place piles where you can easily reach them with equipment or wheelbarrows, or where we will be grading if we are handling the spreading.

Step 4: Review the Results Together

After delivery, we are available to answer questions about how to spread, compact, or maintain the material. If you decide you would like help with grading or additional work after seeing it on site, we can talk about next steps and schedule follow-up services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Drain tile can make a big difference when water is trapped in the soil or in low areas, but it’s not the only tool we use. In some situations, a combination of grading changes, surface drains, and drain tile works best. We’ll look at the root cause of your drainage issues and recommend the combination that makes the most sense for your property.

Drain tile needs a place to discharge, such as a lower area on your property, a drainage ditch, or another approved outlet. During the planning process, we’ll identify where water can safely go and design the system to move it there using gravity whenever possible.

We only excavate where we need to install pipe or adjust grades. Trenching and grading will disturb soil in those areas, but we’ll backfill and rough grade the work zones so they can be restored with grass or landscaping. Before we start, we’ll show you which parts of the yard will be affected.
