Safe, efficient removal of old hard surfaces.
After years of use, concrete and asphalt can crack, heave, or break into pieces. At some point, patching doesn’t help much-surfaces stay uneven, water sits in the low spots, and the area becomes a trip hazard or eyesore. In many cases, full removal is the only way to fix the underlying issues.
Taking out the old concrete or asphalt lets you address drainage and base conditions and then rebuild the way you actually want.
We begin by looking at the size, thickness, and access for the slab or driveway you want removed. Then we use appropriate equipment to break it into manageable pieces, load it out, and haul it away. If you’re planning a new surface, Cournaya’s Land Enhancement can also rough grade the area so it’s ready for the next step.
Our goal is to make removal straightforward and leave you with a clean, usable space instead of a pile of rubble.
Cournaya’s Land Enhancement provides services across much of Michigan’s Thumb and surrounding areas. We regularly work throughout Tuscola, Sanilac, Lapeer, and St. Clair counties and in many of the communities in and around those counties.
We stand behind the work we do. Our guarantee is simple: we will show up when we say we will, do the work we agreed to, and walk the job with you before we leave. If something reasonable needs to be addressed related to the work we just completed, we will talk it through and make a plan to make it right.
Outdoor work is always at the mercy of weather and existing site conditions, but we do not disappear when the equipment leaves. If you have concerns about the workmanship on a recent project, contact us. We will review the site, explain what we are seeing, and discuss any adjustments that may be appropriate based on the original scope of work.
If a broken driveway, slab, or pad is holding up your plans, Cournaya’s Land Enhancement can help you clear it out. Contact us to talk about the area you want removed, and we’ll look at the site, explain the process, and give you a straightforward removal estimate.
Every job starts with a conversation. You tell us what is going wrong, how you use the property, and what you would like to change. We ask questions, look at any photos you have, and when needed schedule a visit so we can see the ground in person.
On site, we walk the area with you, point out problem spots, and talk through options. We explain what we recommend, why we recommend it, and how it will be done so you understand the plan before any equipment moves.
On delivery day, we bring the material with trucks sized for your property and access. We place piles where you can easily reach them with equipment or wheelbarrows, or where we will be grading if we are handling the spreading.
After delivery, we are available to answer questions about how to spread, compact, or maintain the material. If you decide you would like help with grading or additional work after seeing it on site, we can talk about next steps and schedule follow-up services.
Often, yes. We can take out a section while leaving the rest in place, depending on how the concrete or asphalt was poured and how you plan to use the remaining surface. During the estimate, we’ll look at the layout and let you know what’s realistic so you’re happy with the final result.
Yes. Our service includes breaking up the concrete or asphalt, loading it, and hauling it away to an appropriate disposal or recycling facility. You won’t be left with piles of broken pieces to deal with on your own.
Absolutely. After removal, we can rough grade the area, build a new base for gravel or a new slab, or prepare the space for other improvements. We’ll talk through your plans during the estimate so we can line up removal and follow-up work together.
Cournaya’s Land Enhancement is a family-run company that treats every property like our own. We focus on honest recommendations, practical solutions, and work that is built to handle real-world use, not just look good for a day. When you call us, you talk directly with the people who will be on your property, running the equipment and standing behind the results.
Our team is used to working on driveways, yards, fields, and rural properties across the area. We understand soft ground, standing water, and washed-out drives because we deal with them every season. That experience shows up in the way we plan each job and the small details that help your project hold up over time.
